We will take a thorough history and comprehensively examine you to diagnose your problems and explain the issues to you – understanding the nature and cause of the problem is the key to getting better.
Physiotherapy treatment can take many forms – hands on manipulation of joints and muscles, electrotherapy, trigger point release and strapping are among the treatment modalities that we use to get you better.
Dry needling is the insertion of a solid needle into a muscular trigger point as against an injection (hence the term “dry”). Dry needling is an effective method for reducing trigger points or “knots” within muscles in order to reduce pain and restore normal function.
Hydrotherapy is basically exercise conducted in water yet it’s more complicated than that. We perform a comprehensive assessment of your movement, strength, balance and function on land prior to getting into the water to work out where you need help. Then, using the unique properties of exercising in warm water, we will devise an exercise program specifically for you and guide you through how to perform all the exercises correctly.
The assessments are conducted 1:1 in our treatment rooms located within the centre whilst the hydro programs are conducted in our state of the art hydrotherapy pool.
Our group hydrotherapy sessions are conducted on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00pm to 3:50pm and on Thursdays from 2:00pm to 2:50pm.
Our physiotherapists are trained in exercise prescription and experienced with gym programs. We can guide you throughout your rehabilitation from start to finish and provide you with an appropriate exercise program to get you better. With a fully equipped gym we can guide you through your entire rehabilitation as well as providing ongoing exercise programs.
